- Eliminating fact-checkers in the United States, replacing them with a community-driven system called “Community Notes.”
- Simplifying content policies around sensitive topics like gender and immigration.
- Refocusing content filters to address only high-severity violations, reducing unnecessary content suppression.
- Requiring user reports to address lower-severity violations instead of automated enforcement.
- Promoting civic content recommendations across Meta platforms.
- Relocating Trust and Safety and Content Moderation teams to Texas.
Zuckerberg emphasized that these changes aim to empower users by minimizing censorship and fostering greater freedom of expression. Meta also plans to collaborate closely with President Trump to advocate for global policies that safeguard free speech online.
